Recap: Inaugural Computational Social Science and Humanities (CSSH) Research Symposium

We are excited to share that our inaugural Computational Social Science and Humanities (CSSH) Research Symposium was a great success!

The event brought together scholars from a wide range of fields to engage in rich interdisciplinary dialogue, exchange ideas, and showcase cutting-edge research at the intersection of technology, society, and the humanities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Dean Lionel Wee and Dean Tulika Mitra for their thoughtful opening remarks. Our deepest thanks to the distinguished speakers—Alex ‘Sandy’ Pentland, Andrew Przybylski, Aaron Maniam, and Elena Karahanna—for their intellectually stimulating and inspiring talks.

We are also very grateful to our panelists Kenneth Benoit, Kenneth Dean, Chao Han, Jungup Lee, Subhayan Mukerjee, DongWon Oh, Andrew Przybylski, and Alicia Yeo for sparking insightful discussions on how computational methods are transforming social sciences and humanities research.
